About Kat
Do you ever imagine yourself on a sunny beach with a cool breeze and crystal clear water at your feet? Me too! And quite often- because here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, our weather is hot, humid, and… HOT! We do have beaches, but they’re more for looking at than swimming in! Hey y’all! My name is Kat, and as I previously stated, I’m from the Mississippi Gulf Coast (which I really do love). My husband and I have been married for three years and have a baby girl! We have five adorable cats- *officially* making us crazy cat people. Before I became a stay-at-home mom, I worked as a Pediatric RN and spent most of my career at a PPEC facility- a place for children who are medically fragile or have special needs. Now, I’m a full-time mom and travel agent! Because of my background in caring for children and their families, my goal is to tailor vacations around what is best for YOUR family. Every family is unique- just like every destination! This is why I love to help your family find the happiest place for y’all! Some people’s palates prefer Mickey-shaped snacks while others prefer a private, multicourse dinner aboard premium cruise lines. I’m more of a Dole Whip gal myself! Your favorite place to travel:
The best thing you've ever eaten on vacation: Four Words- Thigh-High Chicken Biscuits! My husband and I love these chicken biscuits from Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ in Disney Springs. Between the buttery biscuit sits classic fried chicken with bread and butter pickles- complete with hot honey drizzled on top! As a Southerner, I know true country cookin’, and I can confirm that their chicken would make my Southern grandma proud! You’d think we travel and get something more exotic than our typical comfort food, but Homecomin’ is just too good! The best part about being a Travel Advisor: I love being a travel agent because it’s like you get to help write a family’s vacation story (which is why I love that we’re called “Story Writers” at Happily Ever After Travel). When someone first reaches out, I love getting to know what kind of vacation this is for them. For some, it’s an intimate anniversary weekend, and for others, maybe they’re finally getting to take their baby on their first trip! Maybe it’s the grandparents who haven’t been to Universal for years, but are finally getting to see how much it’s changed! I get to learn their dream for this vacation. Then, I get to take the stressful parts of planning away and leave them only with anticipation for the trip- not anxiety of creating itineraries and confirming bookings. It’s so rewarding to see the families I’ve bonded with finally take that once-in-a-lifetime vacation. I love the connections I make and how close you become. Call 855-939-4328 ext 3342.
