About Pam
Hello and it is nice to meet you! I am Pam and I live in Zionsville, Indiana, just outside of Indianapolis. I recently retired from Education after 28 years of being a Classroom Teacher, Reading Coach, Assistant Principal and Principal. My career was a big part of my life as I dedicated a lot of my time ensuring our students were the center of everything we did in the school. They are our future. Midway through my career, my mother decided we needed to travel the world. So, we did! We have been to all but one Continent. We have planned our own trips, used travel agents, and participated in group tours with several companies. I have learned so much traveling and experiencing different cultures has only enriched my life and broadened my mind.
We have discussed traveling more within the USA. We have traveled our country by train, car and plane. We have not made it all over yet and I believe that is my fault because when we talk about traveling , I bring up Disney! Disney magic started for me as a child when we took a family trip there. I have visited many times since then and it just continues. I feel free there. Free to be me, to be a kid at my age, to smile broadly at every turn.
My retirement has freed up a lot of time! I like to keep busy or am just used to being busy! I feel as though with my love for traveling and this gift I have received of seeing the world, it would be only natural and extremely fulfilling to be a travel planner and provide others with the same love and gift as I have experienced. I am a person who is organized and dedicated to her craft. I am excited to share that with others who are trying to make magical family memories which will last a lifetime!
My favorite place to travel:
Walt Disney World is at the top of my list. I believe because it magically transports me to my happy place and many visits there of happy memories and experiences. Asia would come next on that list, with more traveling to do there. The culture is vast , yet consistently strong beliefs in family and taking care of our elders. Australia and New Zealand are beautiful , with incredible outdoor activities and regions with dramatic contrasts.
The best thing you’ve ever eaten on vacation:
I often crave Dole Whip, I believe I dream of it also. Every time I go to Disney, I say that I am eating one Dole Whip a day, at least. To be honest, once I get there, I do partake in the Dole Whip, but then get side tracked by all the other great treats!! The food in Italy is absolutely mouth watering… pasta, pizza, prosciutto and melon – delish! I had one of the best meals in Bangkok, Thailand and it was a buffet! Can you tell I am a foodie?!
The best part about being a Travel Advisor:
I enjoy meeting new people and spending time getting to know them. When we begin to think about a vacation, we are saving our hard earned money to go to a location as a family and make memories that will last a lifetime. As a Travel Planner, this is important to recognize since we are laying the groundwork for that memory making adventure! As a former Administrator, I have developed my listening ear and look forward to using that in the travel planning with a family. This will help to ensure needs are being met and a magical time is had by all. This is what I feel is the best part of being a Travel Planner.
