About Sarah

Welcome, Fellow Travelers! I’m Sarah Workman. At my heart, I’m a wife, mom of two princesses, and a follower of Jesus. My husband is a pastor and serving the church and our community is the great joy of my life. I dabble in creative writing and am involved in community theatre where we live in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. I like to vlog our family vacations and theme park days on our YouTube channel, Just a Dream Away, so we always have a record of the fun things we did and what our girls were like at each special age.

However, when I’m not just so-and-so’s Mom or “Ms. Sarah” to the kiddos I teach at church, I’m the ultimate fangirl. I am obsessed with Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, Lord of the Rings, the Muppets…you get the idea. My kitchen is Walt Disney World themed, most of my t-shirts are Disney related and I cry when I see the Millenium Falcon in Galaxy’s Edge. My Loungefly collection alone is concerning. So, it’s probably no wonder that I am a Disney Parks and Disney Cruise Line devotee as well. As a little girl, our family literally saved nickels and dimes in a huge glass jug to one day afford a trip to Walt Disney World. We finally went when I was in fifth grade. My life has never been the same since.. My darling husband and his parents had never been on a Disney vacation before I entered the family in 2012. Now, we’ve been to both U.S. Parks many times and on a Disney Cruise. Disney Parks are my happy place.

I am the trip planner in our family. I never met a spreadsheet I didn’t love. If I’m feeling down, I research and plan fictional Disney trips for our crew. Trip planning is my pick-me-up. I am the person that picks the best accommodations within our budget, who books magical dining experiences and schedules those all-important Lightning Lanes. Since becoming a Stay-at-Home Mom, my dream has been to become a Travel Advisor specializing in Disney, Universal and cruise vacations. Here I am now living the dream!

I know what it’s like to feel the drudgery of the routine. For me, having one vacation to look forward to, live out and then savor is a mental health necessity. I know my clients work hard to afford each vacation they dream up. The complications of planning magical getaways can be a headache. That’s why I became a travel planner! I love the details and reminders on my phone to schedule experiences and dining reservations. Let me do the mind-numbing, eye-crossing work of planning and booking your vacation. My goal is to serve you. I know I was put on this Earth to serve God and others, and I believe that travel planning is a way of fulfilling that mission. Your wishes and needs will always come first when we plan a trip for your family. Thank you for considering using my services when booking your next vacation!

My favorite place to travel:

Even though I’ve been to Walt Disney World at least sixteen times (I’ve shamefully lost count), my favorite place to travel is Disneyland. As a Walt Disney and Disney Parks history buff, there is absolutely nothing like walking in Walt’s footsteps. Disneyland honors Mr. Disney so beautifully and giving Walt a little “Thank you” while passing his apartment above the Fire House makes me emotional. Classic attractions like Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln and the Disneyland Railroad just hit differently because you can palpably feel Walt’s love for this great man and for trains. Beyond that, I also love the ease of getting to and around Disneyland. Being able to walk to the parks from my hotel and then to walk from one park to the other is priceless! I love you, Walt Disney World, but Disneyland wins for not requiring any transportation to get me where I want to go.

I am also a huge Dolly Parton fan and have raised a little Dolly fangirl. Our family has enjoyed four delightful trips to Dollywood and the greater Pigeon Forge area. The beauty of the Smoky Mountains paired with Dolly’s rhinestone magic is unique in the world. Dollywood has the Southern charm that makes you feel like a part of the family, especially when you’re devouring that famous Cinnamon Bread. The entertainment and attractions are always top-notch for every age in our party. We can all agree that Dolly Parton is God’s gift to the world and her theme park mirrors her gracious, glittering personality.

The best thing you’ve ever eaten on vacation:

I will be the first to tell you that I am not a foodie. Our family is about as picky as they come. However, my favorite travel food has to be Ohana noodles and bread pudding. I know that is not wildly adventurous, but, boy, are they so delectable. While everything else that comes with an Ohana dinner is good, the noodles and bread pudding have my whole heart. I love them.

The best part about being a Travel Advisor:

My favorite part of being a travel planner is helping families plan the perfect vacation for them and their unique needs. It pains me when I hear someone come back from a Disney Parks vacation and bemoan, “We are never going back. They’ve just made it too complicated.” I totally understand where these people are coming from. It is hard to get all of the details right when planning and booking a Disney trip. That’s why I am a travel planner. I actually (maybe freakishly) love all the hard work that goes into researching, planning and booking Disney vacations.

I will apply that passion to any getaway your family wants to take. I am here to serve you, so no family comes back feeling they wasted their time and money. You work too hard already; you don’t need to feel stressed about planning your getaway from the daily anxieties of life. I became a travel planner so families can relax from the initial planning until the moment they are home from their magical vacations.
