Updates on Walt Disney World
Face Coverings still required for park transportation, including to and from your Disney Resort from theme parks, Disney Springs, Blizzard Beach, and Magical Express
Magical Express
For ARRIVALS through December 31, 2021 complimentary Magical Express is still offered, including roundtrip airport transfers. There is NO luggage service included with Magical Express. Guests must retrieve their own bags from baggage claim upon arrival to MCO and take them with them on the motor coach. Guests must also wear a face covering for the transportation from MCO to the resort.
Character meet and greets are not happening but characters are in the parks
No 3pm parade, but these are the alternatives:
- “Cavalcades” down the parade route at Magic Kingdom
- “Sailings” on the various water ways at AK
- “Processions” through World Showcase at EPCOT
- “Motorcades” on Hollywood Boulevard at DHS
Pin trading is happening with CM through the use of Pin boards in select locations, but there are no CM’s with lanyards at this time
Package delivery is available to the front of the park , but not to the resort hotels
Parking trams are currently suspended at the parks
The monorail between the Transportation and Ticket Center and EPCOT is still suspended
Passholders can only hold 3 days of park reservations at a time
Park Tickets
- Park Reservations still required – not sure on occupancy%
- Park Hopper starts at 2pm each day – must visit the reserved park first before hopping. Check your app for parks open to receive “hoppers”
- Park tickets available for up to 10 days
- Rise of the Resistance is not available for hopping, only to guests who had DHS as their primary park
- Blizzard Beach is open, but not Typhoon – no park reservation for the water park
Disney After Hours Boo Bash – Ticketed event running Aug 10 through October 31 beginning at 9 or 9:30pm, depending on the date. Tickets include shorter wait times on over 20 Magic Kingdom attractions, trick or treating throughout the park, and select ice cream novelties and drinks included
Magic Bands
Beginning in 2021 complimentary Magic Bands were no longer offered. Solid color magic bands may be pre-ordered starting at $10 vs. the $19.95 if purchased from Disney outside of their package. These bands are being shipped to the guest when they are paid, unless they are too close to travel, in which case they will be picked up at the resort. Additional styles and designs are available for a variety of price ranges.

Extra Magic Hours
- Beginning October 1 ALL four parks EVERY day 30 minutes prior to scheduled opening
- For Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villa Resorts One Hour Evening Magic on select nights at select parks.
Disney PhotoPass
PhotoPass photographers are available, ride photos are included, and some fun and amazing “Magic” shots are included. We do recommend pre-purchase for $169 by adding to your vacation package.
Disney Dining Plan
The Disney Dining Plan is currently not available for 2021 packages.
